Youngsters lose 17L rupees in online Ludo game, lose the robbery plot

GHAZIBAD, April 13 (IANS) After losing Rs 17 lakh while playing Ludo online, the son of a Ghaziabad businessman concocts a false story about a Rupiri informing the police that he has stolen Rs 6 lakh, in order to mislead the family.
The police opened a thorough investigation and resolved the case. The person identified as 23-year-old Saqib who gave false information about the robbery was arrested.
Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Bhaskar Verma said, On April 12, a person named Gufran informed the Sahibabad Police Station that his son had gone to Sahibabad to buy goods from Shahid Nagar. He was returning with Rs 6 lakh. After that, he was found lying unconscious on the road near Najdwar. He was later admitted to GTB Hospital Delhi. According to Jaffran, some people looted 6 lakh rupees from Saqib after he was knocked unconscious.
The Anti-Corruption Authority said that a robbery case had been registered in this regard and a comprehensive investigation had been launched. When there was some discrepancy in the facts narrated by al-Saqib, the police questioned him thoroughly.
Saqib admitted that while playing Ludo game online he has lost around Rs 17 lakh so far. Out of fear, Saqib took 1.5 lakh rupees from the family in the name of buying goods on 10th April. He told the family that he would buy the goods and sell them to other merchants in Hendon Vihar and would return from there about 6 rupees. lakh.
On the way, Saqib stops near Najdwar, stops the scooter on the side of the road and pretends to be unconscious and lying on the ground. When some people came right away, Saqib gave them his father’s number and told them to report the theft to him. When the relatives came to the place, Saqib told them that because of the sudden darkness before the eyes, he had fallen from the sekuti and during this time someone had taken his money.
Police said Saqib was arrested in the case.
