They’re here! The construction of two retention tanks for rainwater at Primary School No. 4 has been completed. Queen Jadwiga in Ostrów Wielkopolski. The city of Ostrów Wielkopolski obtained over PLN 75,000 for this purpose. PLN from the Greater Poland Voivodeship Self-Government program “Deszczówka”.
– The tanks are already there. However, this is only the first step of this program. Another very important one is education about the value of water and the possibilities of reusing rainwater. That is why the small inhabitants of Ostrów use water from these reservoirs, among others: for watering plants in kindergarten gardens. We are also consistently implementing our project “Ostrów catches the rain”, which we address to our residents, because every drop of water is extremely important – he emphasizes Beata Klimekpresident of Ostrów Wielkopolski
The value of the entire investment is almost PLN 300,000. zlotys. The amount of funding obtained is over PLN 75,000. zlotys. The two newly constructed reservoirs are the largest ever built in our city. Their total capacity is 18,000 cubic meters.
The city of Ostrów Wielkopolski is building for retention. This is another year in a row and another retention reservoir at an educational institution, which was created with the support of funds obtained from the “Rainwater” program. Thanks to the funding, the tanks were built at Kindergarten No. 14 “Maluszek”, Kindergarten No. 11 “Calineczka”, Kindergarten No. 3 “Hansel and Gretel” and Kindergarten No. 1. Another two were built in recent months at Primary School No. 4.
The task is co-financed by the Government of the Wielkopolska Voivodeship under the program entitled “Rainwater”.
