MUMBAI, April 19 (IANS) The new trailer and poster for ‘The Boogeyman’ have been revealed. The movie is a horror thriller based on a short story by author Stephen King.
The film is directed by Rob Savage, with a screenplay by Scott Peck, Brian Woods, and Mark Hyman, and a screen story by Scott Peck and Brian Woods.
Speaking about the film, the director said, “The Boogeyman” is a classic horror movie in the form of “Poltergeist” that scares and upsets in equal measure. I distinctly remember the horror I felt when I read King’s short story as a child, and that sense of childhood fear is what I wanted to inspire in movie audiences all over the world.”
He also stated: “Produced in collaboration with an incredibly talented team of creators, this film is anchored by fantastic, emotional performances from our fantastic cast – I am truly in awe of them. The film stars Sophie Thatcher, Chris Messina, Vivien Lyra Blair, Maren Ireland, Madison Ho, Lisa Jay Hamilton and David Dastmalchian. The producers are Shawn Levy, Dan Levine, and Dan Cohen, with John H. Stark, Emily Morris, Scott Peck, Brian Woods, Ryan Cunningham, Adam Colbrenner, and Robyn Messinger serving as executive producers.
20th Century Studios India is set to release The Boogeyman on June 2, 2023 in cinemas.
