The opposition will not have its candidate for the Senate in the Mińsk Mazowiecki – Garwolin district in Mazovia. It’s already decided.
The Supreme Court rejected the Left’s complaint against the decision of the National Electoral Commission, which refused to register its candidate in this district.
According to the National Electoral Commission, the Left Committee did not properly collect two thousand signatures.
Now the Supreme Court has confirmed these findings.
On Friday at the National Electoral Commission headquarters electoral list numbers for nationwide committees were drawnwhich will field candidates for the Sejm in all 41 districts.
In the draw, number 1 went to the Electoral Commission of Bezpartyjni Samorządowcy, 2nd to the Electoral Commission of Trzecia Droga Polska 2050-PSL, 3rd to the Electoral Commission of Nowa Lewica, 4th to the Electoral Commission of Law and Justice, 5th to the Electoral Commission of Konfederacja, 6th to the Electoral Commission of the Civic Coalition.
Next, numbers were drawn for the lists of electoral committees that registered lists to the Sejm in more than one district. Number 7 will be on the lists of the KW Polska Jest Jedno, 8 – KW Polska Liberalna-Strajk Przedsiębiorców, 9 – KW Ruch Dobrobytu i Pokoju, 10 – KW Normalny Kraj.
In the elections to the Sejm Poland is divided into 41 districts of various sizes. The smallest constituency, where seven members of parliament are elected, is Częstochowaand the largest Warsaw – there are as many as 20 seats up for grabs.
The parliamentary elections will be held on October 15. Poles will choose 460 MPs and 100 senators for a four-year term.
