TVP without the Champions League. Fans may have a problem

Manchester City will defend the title, having defeated them last season final Inter Milan 1-0 after Rodri’s goal. It was the first title in the history of the club from the blue part of Manchester, and at the same time the third Champions League trophy won by Pep Guardiola, who had previously won with FC Barcelona in 2009 and 2011. It is also the first title won by a club fueled by money from a country located on the Arabian Peninsula (in this case, the United Arab Emirates). Previously, City lost the 2021 final to Chelsea 0-1, and a year earlier, PSG, financially affected by Qatar, lost to Bayern Munich also 0-1.

The new edition of the Champions League is a huge change from the Polish perspective fans. For over 30 years, the matches of these competitions were shown on TVP, but now it has changed and the matches will be available to watch on a private broadcaster, which in this case is Polsat.

“Unless a miracle happens, we can forget about the Champions League on TVP in the next season. But that’s not all – Polsat is free to decide where to show the matches and is not obliged to show the matches in the open band” – Kacper Sosnowski from Sport.pl reported. Therefore, Polish fans will have to purchase special packages to watch matches of FC Barcelona, Manchester City, Bayern Munich or Real Madrid in the new edition of the Champions League.
