The Bihar Assembly meeting was postponed to the next day after BJP lawmakers created a tight chair

PATNA, July 12 (IANS) Bihar Assembly Speaker Awad Bihari Chaudhary on Wednesday decided to adjourn the House for the next day after which BJP leaders raised the ruckus and raised a chair while Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav was answering a question regarding the road construction department.

As soon as the assembly proceedings commenced, the BJP leaders stormed into the House well and started demanding the resignation of Tejashoy Yadav, saying that a person shrouded in the veil of impeachment could not enjoy constitutional office.

Tejchoi has recently been charged with the charges in a land-for-jobs case.

When the BJP MPs did not heed the advice of the Speaker to return to their seats, he adjourned the House for the day.

JD(U)MLA Shalini Mishra said, “This is a small session of only five days and we were ready to ask questions on issues relating to the public but the BJP leaders are not allowing the House to function smoothly. They have unnecessarily disrupted the House proceedings. They have raised the chairs in a way that can harm with the legislators. It is unparliamentary and unacceptable.”

RJD MLA Sangeeta Kumari said, “They have destroyed democracy in Maharashtra and made deputy CM someone who was corrupt in the past for them. It’s a BJP double standard. They raised the chair and tried to attack the legislators. The center abuses CBI, ED and income tax against opposition leaders. Our leader Accused in a case and it is pending in the court. The court’s decision will be final. Why should Tejashwe Yadav resign in this case? He will not resign.”

Earlier today, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar attended the assembly along with Tejashoy Yadav.
