LOS ANGELES, April 16 (IANS) Singer Taylor Swift reportedly didn’t expect the news of her split from Joe Alwyn the way it did.
If a new report is to be believed, the singer-songwriter blames her alleged ex-boyfriend for leaking the end of their relationship to the public, aceshowbiz.com reports.
On a recent episode of the “Deux/U” podcast, the source detailed what happened before the couple split, aceshowbiz.com reports.
“Joe was pulled more and more before the tour and the start of him going to shoot,” said the source as summed up in an Instagram post by the celebrity gossip account.
“It was bumpy in the run-up to the tour, so Taylor just kind of looked upside down and was like, ‘Do we need to address this?'” I mentioned the site. Alwyn reportedly suggested they “take a break and call this tour an opportunity to rest, reassess and we’ll see where things end up.”
While Swift was “fine with it,” she allegedly “thought he was going to miss her like crazy and they would eventually get back together again.” However, “Not only did he seem okay with the distance and space, but she totally thinks he’s the one who leaked the news,” according to the source.
Taylor and Joe had been dating for six years before news emerged of their split earlier this month. While neither has confirmed the reports, fans believe the pop star hinted at it during her first night on tour since their separate reports.
On the night of Thursday, April 13, the 33-year-old resumed her “Eras Tour” in Tampa. Although she didn’t mention the split directly, she did seem to refer to the headlines, saying, “Is it just me or do we have a lot to catch up on?” She then added, “It’s been a really long time since I’ve been on tour. To say that a lot has happened is an understatement.”
