Siayami Kher, Angad Bedi bonded over a shared passion for cricket on the sets of ‘Ghoomer’

MUMBAI, April 21 (IANS) Actress Siayami Kher, who will soon share screen space with Angad Bedi in R Balkis’ upcoming film Ghoomer, has many common interests like fitness and sports with her co-star. The two, who play each other’s love interest in the movie, were often seen exchanging notes about their shared passion for cricket.
Siayami played cricket at school level in Maharashtra and reached the national team selection, but instead opted for the state badminton tournament. She is also skilled at running, swimming and mountaineering.
Talking about the same, Siyami said, “Angad was my first friend in the world of cinema. I’ve known him for over a decade when I used to model. I befriended him because I wanted someone to play cricket with in Bombay. It’s crazy that it’s our first time together.” It has the screen space of a sports movie.
She stated, “We are both fitness freaks. Since we both have a sports background, discussing sports with him is a different kind of fun. I think he is a very talented actor and I am really glad we got to work together on ‘Ghoomer’.”
Ghoomer, whose release date has yet to be set, is about a sports prodigy and also stars Abhishek Bachchan and Shabana Azmi in pivotal roles. The film is currently in post-production, and was co-written by Palki, along with Rahul Sengupta and Rishi Virmani.
‘Ghoomer’ is based on the story of Karoly Takacs, the late Hungarian right-handed shooter who won two Olympic gold medals with his left hand after his other hand was seriously injured.
