NEW DELHI, July 12 (IANS) Congress President Mallikarjun outside on Wednesday attacked the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) for inflation saying that people do not need Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s pronouncements but need him to perform his duties.

“Nest Dean, Amrit Kaal, Kartiyava Kaal… Every few days the name of the narrative is changed just for marketing. Business never changes! Same ploy of looting people’s savings in ‘Loot Kaal’ imposing deadly inflation.” Narendra tweeted in a tweet. Modi ji, inflationary people, don’t need your “data” (vaktavya), but they need you to perform your “duties”.

I also attached menu items besides tomatoes whose prices have skyrocketed in the past few days.

Congress has criticized the government in the past few weeks on the issue of inflation.

Last week, Mahila Congress activists staged a protest in front of the BJP headquarters here while Congress spokeswoman Supriya Shrinet addressed a press conference at the party headquarters targeting the government over tomato prices.
