LOS ANGELES, April 7 (IANS) Hollywood star Jeremy Renner has detailed how his Jan. 1 accident happened, revealing he was run over by his 14,330-pound Sno-Cat after trying to jump back into the car to save his nephew. .

Renner said he and his 27-year-old nephew Alex were trying to pull a Ford Raptor out of the snow with a snow plow, according to Variety.

Jeremy told Diane Sawyer of ABC News, that as Alex loosened the chain holding the two cars after successfully getting them out of the snow, Renner’s plow began to slide on the ice. Concerned for his nephew’s safety, Renner puts one foot off the plow to look at Alex, neglecting to set the parking brake. That’s when he lost his footing and fell out of the cab.

He said, quoted in Variety: “I just happen to be the dummy that stands on the dang track a bit, to see if my nephew is there. You shouldn’t be out of the car while it’s running, you know what I mean? It’s like driving a car with one foot,” Renner said. out of the car.” But that’s what it was. It was my fault, and I paid for it.”

Fearing that the car would back out and Alex “sandwich” with the truck, Renner attempted to jump back onto Sno-Cat to disengage it – at which point he was run over.

“That’s when I screamed, by the way, when I got under the thing,” Renner said. “Not today, mother ***** r!” is what i cried. Sorry about the language.”

Renner said he remembered “all” of the pain. “I was up every moment. It’s exactly what you imagined it would feel like,” he said. “It’s hard to imagine what that would feel like, but when you look at the machine and you look—I was on the asphalt and the ice. I wish I was on the snow. It felt like someone took the fart out of you. So many things happen in the body for you to feel pain, it’s everything. It feels like your soul might be in pain.”

Recalling his injuries, Renner said he could “see with my other eye”.

Alex was able to jump into the Raptor before the plow hit the car, sending it into a nearby snow bank. When Alex got out of the car and ran to Renner, he “didn’t think he was alive”.
