Michał Probierz did not want to be trash. This could be a new coach!
Michał Probierz in Polish football he has seen everything and experienced everything. He had huge successes, because that’s what the trophies were Jagiellonia Białystok and the honorable title of coach of the 90th anniversary. He had spectacular failures, as was certainly the case with only 7 months of work at Wisła Kraków. Touchstone promoted today’s national representatives, because Przemysław Frankowski and Karol Świderski were under his control, and Kamil Grosicki once regained his football life in Jagiellonia, which he managed. From Białystok he then set off again into the larger, foreign world.

Michał Probierz. “God bless you” and buckets of slop
Jagiellonia was great, a breath of fresh air in Polish football. And he was managing it then Cezary Kuleszacurrent president Polish Football Association.
Michał Probierz also wanted to work abroad. After all, he was the coach of Aris Thessaloniki and he really didn’t do bad there. He left quickly because the Greeks promised him one thing and then did another. As he said, they paid him in Vatican currency, i.e. “God bless you.” But he gathered his experience.
At the same time, Probierz also found out in Cracovia what it is like to be a sports director and have to take on buckets of waste for failing to promote Polish youth at the expense of trainloads of mediocrely talented players from abroad. This did not prevent Kulesza from employing him as the coach of our U-21 team a year ago.
Michał Probierz and Marek Papszun to clean up the mess
Piotr Urban, Viaplay expert and son of coach Jan Urban, said in our program that this could be Touchstone’s advantage against Marek Papszun. It’s about experience, getting to know the ball from every side and in different environments, getting burned and ending up “in the trash.”
The same argument is also raised by some members of the Polish Football Association, although he strongly disagrees with them, among others. Marek Wawrzynowski from Przegląd Sportowy Onet, calling the allegations absurd. Because when it comes to recent years and successes, Marek Papszun beats all other Polish coaches.
However, this does not have to be decisive, because the coaching position and the work associated with it are very different from everyday work at the club. It’s a different scale of challenges, different management, different approach to players.
Cezary Kulesza chooses today between Papszun and Probierz (although like him, he can surprise everyone at the last minute), “Przegląd Sportowy” wrote that due to our common past and the fact that Probierz is now working with the youth team, the president’s favorite is the former Jagiellonia coach (more here). At the same time, the head of the Polish Football Association will continue to consult the candidates on Tuesday, and will be helped by, among others: sports director Marcin Dorna.
Whoever he chooses, cleaning up this mess, the garbage dump that befell the Polish national team today, will not be an easy task.

When you feel that something is coming to an end, you have to end it at the right moment so as not to be trash – these are the words Michał Probierz used when he resigned in May 2011 after Jagiellonia Białystok lost the match against Polonia Warszawa 0:2.
