Mexico coach Coca chooses friendly squad with the United States


MEXICO CITY, April 13 (IANS) Mexico coach Diego Coca has included uncapped Club America goalkeeper Luis Malagón in his squad for a friendly against the United States next week.

Xinhua reported that Barcelona defender Julián Araujo was the only player outside Latin America in the 23-man El Tri squad.

The match, which will not fall on an official FIFA date, will take place on April 19 at the University of Phoenix Stadium.

The United States is currently ranked 13th in the FIFA World Rankings, two places ahead of Mexico.

There have been 74 previous matches between the two teams, with Mexico winning 36, drawing 16 and losing 22.
