Megan Fox opens up about body dysmorphia. She says she has never loved her own body

MUMBAI, May 18 (IANS) Actress Megan Fox has talked about having a body imbalance and how one can live with it. The Hollywood actress said she’s “never loved” her body.

The 37-year-old “Johnny and Clyde” actress, who turns 38 on May 16, has opened up about her struggles with her body image.

Speaking to Sports Illustrated for Swimsuit Edition, which sees her don a skimpy bikini and exude a racy vibe, Fox said, “I have a body flaw — I never see myself the way other people see me.”

More openly, the American actress who made her acting debut in the family film Holiday in the Sun said, “There was no point in my life where I ever loved my body.”

“When I was young, it was an obsession, like, ‘But I have to look that way,'” Meghan continued in a video for Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition.

“And why I had an awareness of my body because I’m not sure young, and it certainly wasn’t environmental because I grew up in a very religious environment where even bodies weren’t acknowledged. I think the journey of loving myself will never end.”

Body dysmorphic disorder is listed on many medical websites as a “mental health condition in which a person spends a lot of time worrying about flaws in their appearance” with so-called “flaws” that are often unnoticeable to others.

She first spoke about body dysmorphia and the “deep insecurities” she experienced in October 2021.
