Trade Union Law Minister Kiren Riju Saturday escaped unharmed after his vehicle was hit by a truck on the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway.
Police sources said that the black scorpion in which the union minister was traveling was hit by a fully loaded truck in Banihal district on the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway.
Reports stated that the minister’s security guards rushed to Rego’s car and opened its back door, where the minister emerged unharmed.
Police said, “No one was injured in this incident.”
Earlier on Saturday, the minister wrote on Twitter, “Moving from Jammu to Udhampur in Jammu & Kashmir to attend Legal Services Camp. Many beneficiaries of central government schemes attend the function along with judges and NALSA team. Now, one can enjoy the beautiful route throughout the journey “.
