JERUSALEM, July 13 (IANS) Israel thwarted an attempt by a number of Lebanese to destroy the border fence between the two countries, the Israeli army said in a statement.
“Several suspects approached the northern security fence with Lebanon in an attempt to sabotage,” the IDF said in a statement on Wednesday, which was posted online along with a video showing a group of suspects approaching the fence before an explosion was heard.
The IDF added that it had taken measures to remove the suspects from the fence, adding that the identity of the suspects was still unknown, Xinhua news agency reported.
The Lebanese news website Al-Nashra reported on Wednesday that an Israeli drone attacked Hezbollah members as they were setting up a watchtower on the outskirts of the southern Lebanese border town of Yarin, injuring three of them.
