Independence March 2023. Participants gather at the Dmowskiego roundabout
Participants of the demonstration after 13 they started to gather near the Dmowski roundabout. Many participants have red and white armbands, others have cotillions attached to their jackets. Some people also have wreaths and hats in national colors.
Metal barriers were placed along the march route, and significant forces were visible police, as well as the Independence March Guard. Aleje Jerozolimskie was fenced off with barriers. There are many police cars parked in the side streets.
Single firecracker shots can be heard near the Dmowski roundabout.
Some streets in the immediate vicinity of the march are closed drivers and pedestrians; Al. are also impassable. Jerozolimskie, along which participants will march to the Poniatowski Bridge, and then walk along Wał Miedzeszyński and Wybrzeże Szczeciński to ul. Siwiec. The march will end on the grounds of the National Stadium.
The Independence March will officially start at 14, and the demonstration is scheduled to start from the Dmowski roundabout at approximately half an hour. Later. This year’s march is under the slogan “Poland is not yet lost.”
The demonstration, which has been taking place on the streets of Warsaw on the anniversary of Poland regaining independence, has been organized since 2011 by the Independence March association.
After hours A press conference was held at 12.30, during which the head of the guard of the Independence March announced that the guard was securing the entire route of the march.
