LAHORE, May 17 (IANS) The head of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan said that if the police come with a search warrant to conduct a search at his residence in Zaman Garden in Lahore, he will not resist the move, media reports said.

“I just heard that 40 terrorists are hiding in my house. Please come here [but] Addressing his supporters from his residence in Lahore on Wednesday, he said, “In a civilized manner and don’t try to break into my residence.”

Earlier, the PTI chief said in a tweet, “Probably my last tweet before my next arrest. The police have it.” [sic] surrounded my house.”

His statement came as the interim government of Punjab gave a 24-hour deadline for PTI to hand over “30-40 terrorists who had taken refuge” at the residence of former chief minister Zaman Park to the police.

He said Acting Information Minister Aamir Mir during a press conference held in Lahore on Wednesday: “The Pakistan News Agency should hand over these terrorists, otherwise the law will take its course.”

He added that the government is aware of the presence of these “terrorists” as it has a reliable intelligence report, Geo News reported.

“The intelligence report that came is very disturbing,” Mir said, adding that the services were able to confirm the presence of “terrorists” in Zaman Park through geo-fencing.

On the other hand, all roads leading to Khan Zaman Park residence were blocked by the police.

Video footage from the site showed a huge contingent of Punjab police outside the former chief minister’s home.

Khan addressed his party workers, expressing his fears that the country is heading towards the path of destruction.
