Earlier, in a tweet, the PTI chief said, “Probably my last tweet before my next arrest. The police have it.” [sic] surrounded my house.”
His statement came as the interim Punjab government gave a 24-hour deadline for PTI to hand over “30-40 terrorists who had taken refuge” at the former chief minister’s residence to the police.
Interim Information Minister Aamir Mir said while speaking at a press conference in Lahore earlier on Wednesday: “The PTI should hand over these terrorists, otherwise the law will take its course.”
He added that the government is aware of the existence of these “terrorists” because it has a reliable intelligence report, Geo News reported.
