Her son is killed when a cowshed in UP village catches fire

MAHARAGANG (Uttar Pradesh), April 14 (IANS) A 56-year-old woman and her 35-year-old son died while trying to save their cattle after the hay barns where they were kept caught fire.
The incident occurred in Bhosi Amva village on Thursday when Kaushalya Devi lit the rubbish of the house to get smoke to get rid of mosquitoes.
However, the smoke soon turned into flames and engulfed the huts where the cattle were kept.
In a panic, Devi and her son, Ram Ashish, rush into the burning barns to free their cattle.
In the process, Devi hits a pole and Ram rushes to save his mother. Unfortunately, the hut collapses at this point, trapping both of them inside. The mother and son duo were burned to death in the accident.
A cow also suffered severe burns in the accident.
After the incident, Constituency Police Officer Anand Kumar Singh with Tsildar District rushed to the site and assured the family members of the full cooperation from the government.
The bodies were sent for an autopsy.
Meanwhile, Tisildar Vivekananda confirmed that he had taken the case before the higher authorities for financial assistance. The endowment amount will likely be announced soon.
