Bharatiya Janata Party holds a high-level meeting to review preparations for the House elections

Bhopal, July 12 (IANS) The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Tuesday held a high-level meeting here to review preparations for the upcoming Madhya Pradesh assembly elections.

The Union Home Minister and prominent BJP leader Amit Shah, who was present at the meeting, reviewed the preparations for the elections and had discussions on the party’s strategies.

After the meeting, BJP’s Madhya Pradesh unit chief V.D. Sharma said Amit Shah had been briefed on all the details and programs laid out in view of the upcoming assembly elections.

Sharma said the party has decided to launch the ‘Vijay Sankalp Abhiyan’ campaign across the state of Madhya Pradesh.

There was also a discussion about strengthening the kiosks. The preparations were thoroughly reviewed and it was decided that the commencement would take place soon at Vijay Sankalp Abhiyan.

Union ministers Jyotiraditya Scindia, Narendra Singh Tomar and Prahlad Patil along with Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh Shivraj Singh Chauhan and V. D. Sharma attended the meeting.

Besides, party general secretary Kailash Vijayvarjia, organizational secretary Hetanand Sharma and Madhya Pradesh state official Muralidhar Rao were present.

Union ministers Bhupinder Yadav and Ashwini Vaishnau, who are BJP appointees in charge of Madhya Pradesh, had arrived here earlier to join the meeting.

Also present were the BJP’s Joint National Organization General Secretary Shivprakash and Chhattisgarh MP Ajay Jamwal.
