Sinner is the winner of the tournament in Vienna. In the final, after an exciting fight, he defeated Daniil Medvedev 2:1 (7:6, 4:6, 6:3). He also did well in Paris, but ultimately withdrew from the tournament. The reason was said to be too short a time for regeneration.

The Greek had hand problems during training with Alexander Zverev, but fortunately they were not serious enough to exclude him from the tournament. In the last test before the ATP Finals, in Paris, he reached the semi-finals, where he lost to Grigor Dimitrov.
