It’s time to start the great cinema festival! The 31st EnergaCAMERIMAGE International Film Festival has just started in Toruń. There were real stars at the opening gala; Adam Driver and Willem Dafoe appeared! See photos from the festival’s opening ceremony.

The annual celebration of cinema begins today, the 31st edition of the EnergaCAMERIMAGE International Film Festival. The festival will be initiated by a ceremonial Opening Ceremony and the premiere of the unique film “Poor Creatures” directed by Yorgos Lanthimos. This is the incredible story of the evolution of Bella Baxter (Emma Stone), a young woman who is brought back to life by a brilliant and unconventional scientist, Dr. Godwin Baxter (Willem Dafoe). Under his care, Bella is eager to learn everything again, but she also wants to experience life to the fullest. In search of new experiences, he sets off on a turbulent and adventurous journey across continents in the company of a clever and dissolute lawyer, Duncan Wedderburn (Mark Ruffalo). Free from the prejudices of her times, Bella is determined to pursue her goal of fighting for equality and independence.

EnergaCAMERIMAGE 2023 is a festival filled with the highest quality cinema. The event’s Main Competition included films such as: “Poor Things”, “Bloody Moon”, “Good Strangers”, “Ferrari”, “Philip”, “The Count”, “Lee”, “Maestro”, “Napoleon”, “The Business Zone”, “The Twilight Zone”, ” The New Boy”, “The Snow Brotherhood”.

The Polish Film Competition included titles such as “Doppelgänger. The Double”, “Figure”, “Fin del mundo?”, “One Soul”, “Fear”, “The Pilecki Report” and “The Quack”.

The 31st EnergaCAMERIMAGE International Film Festival will take place from November 11 to 18, 2023 in Toruń.
