Mateusz Rębecki he started the fight at UFC 295 in his own style – dynamically, shortening the distance. Just like in the fight with Loik Radzhabov, the Pole was looking for low kicks, after which he launched punches with his hands.
Roberts, accustomed to this type of action, forgot that the Chinese’s strong point was wrestling, and these were used after just 40 seconds. Rębecki took the fight to the ground floor and worked from above, constantly looking for punches and elbows.
After two minutes, Roberts returned to standing, but only for a moment. “The Chinese” again went for a takedown and did it successfully, landing behind his opponent’s back. After a while, Piotr Bagiński’s player showed true mastery of the ground game.
Being behind the American’s back, the Pole took advantage of his moment of inattention and went for the “balacha”. The lever on the elbow joint turned out to be effective. Referee Mike Beltran stopped the fight after 3 minutes and 8 seconds, and there was applause in the famous Madison Square Garden.
The commentator was impressed with the Pole’s technique UFC, who is himself a specialist in Brazilian jiu-jitsu. “It was beautiful,” Joe Rogan nodded appreciatively.
Mateusz Rębecki has already won his third victory in the UFC and announced that now he wants to face a ranked opponent.
We would like to remind you that Rębecki was originally supposed to face Nurullo Aliev in New York, but he suffered an injury and Roberts replaced him.
