A man dies in a bicycle accident in Delhi

NEW DELHI, April 14 A 45-year-old man apparently died after his bike slipped and hit a bridge and a stone lying there in Delhi’s Purari district, an official said on Friday.

The deceased has been identified as Karan from Jhangola village in the city.

According to the police, a call was received in the police control room at 5:30 am on Friday that a dead body and a bike were dumped in Poshta near Shamshan Ghat in Barari, after which a team of police rushed to the location.

Immediately, Karan was lying on the road. Immediate inspection and investigation of the crime scene revealed that the victim slipped and hit the bridge and a stone lying near the drain. He could not bear the shock and bled to death. The body bore no other injuries,” said a senior police official. .

“The accident probably happened around 2 am, Karan was survived by his two minor children and his wife,” the official said.

“A case has been registered under the relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code and an autopsy was conducted at the hospital. The body was handed over to the relatives of the deceased,” the official said, adding that further investigation is underway.
