A Delhi man has been arrested for stabbing a shop owner

NEW DELHI, April 14 A 35-year-old man has been arrested for allegedly stabbing a shopkeeper following an altercation between the two in Shahdara district of the national capital, police said Friday.
The person arrested has been identified as Shanti Mohalla resident Anil Kumar.
A police officer said the knife used to commit the crime was recovered from his possession.
On Tuesday, an FIR was registered under Section 307 (Attempted Murder) of the Indian Penal Code at Krishna Nagar Police Station on the basis of a complaint lodged by the victim, Shokin – a resident of Gandhi Nagar.
Shokin stated in the complaint that on Tuesday, around 8:30 pm, someone who was drunk came to his shop to buy cigarettes.
A quarrel occurred between them, and the accused was gone. Five minutes later, he came again and stabbed Shkin with a knife.
“The accused was arrested from Loni near Ghaziabad on the basis of call detail record, CCTV footage and through extensive human intelligence,” Deputy Commissioner of Police (Shahdara) Rohit Meena said.
