ISLAMABAD, April 14 (IANS) Three terrorists were killed in a military operation in Pakistan’s southwestern Balochistan province, the Pakistani military said.

The media wing of the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the media wing of the army, said in a statement, Thursday, that an intelligence operation had begun to clear a hideout of terrorists linked to the shooting incidents of security forces and civilians in the city of Turbat in the province.

Weapons and ammunition were also found from the dead terrorists, who were also involved in planting explosive devices in the area, according to the institute.

According to China’s new news agency (Xinhua) that the Pakistani army said it was still determined to thwart such attempts aimed at sabotaging peace, stability and progress in Balochistan.

Earlier on Wednesday, three terrorists were killed in an exchange of fire with security forces in Bajaur district, northwest of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, according to the army.
